Food Maps: Intriguing Maps of Countries Made Out of Real Food

Inspired by a passion for travel, New Zealand-based artist Henry Hargreaves and New York-based stylist Caitlin Levin created this striking series “Food Maps”. As they say, exploring new places through the food you eat is often a portal to the cultural complexities of that place. Hence, their food maps are not only in the same physical shape as the countries and continents they represent, but also filled with their iconic foods – spices for India, tomatoes for Italy, kiwi for New Zealand, noodles for China. And if you look closely, you’ll find that each country is predominantly made up of just one type of food – with many variations within that food.
