Bonsai is a Japanese art form using miniature trees grown in containers. Originated in China then redeveloped under the influence of Japanese Zen Buddhism, the history of Bonsai can be date back over a thousand years. The purposes of bonsai are primarily contemplation (for the viewer) and the pleasant exercise of effort and ingenuity (for the grower). Although, it is a delicate and time-consuming process to take care of a bonsai, there are many benefits to have one at home: They look beautiful, and moreover the process of taking care of them encourage patience and dedication, help to relieve stress and purify the air.
